Есть работа для SENIOR NETWORK TECHNICIAN/SUPPORT - Downtown Toronto, Full-Time, Permanent (subject to 90 day probation).
Нужен хороший английский, не ниже CLB 7.

Summary:
Responsible for the installation, configuration, modification, maintenance and trouble shooting of hardware and software in the company's mixed server (Windows & Linux) and user workstation environment supported by a mySQL database. Will also provide technical guidance and assistance, support and advice to company staff in Canada and the USA. The majority of the company's employees are not computer experts and encounter computer problems that they cannot solve on their own.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be the First Responder who provides technical and timely support for: daily operations, trouble-shooting, workstation set-up, installation, upgrade schedule;

• Respond promptly to telephone calls, e-mails and analyze problems using automated diagnostic programs, resolving difficulties with a turn-around time standard of 1 business day;
• Determine the cause of the problem and then patiently explain step by step the problem solution to users;
• Work as network systems administrator: responsible for installing and managing the organization’s LAN (local-area network), WAN (wide-area network), Internet, etc.;
• Maintain the company's “Sharefiles” secure web portal and provide assistance to both internal and client personnel;
• Clean up all offices of all obsolete / broken technology;
• Inventory technology and support requirements re: Hardware: requirements, standardized brands, licensing; Software; requirements, standardized brands, licensing;
• Liaison with hardware and software vendors;
• Develop video-based training tools whose purpose is to train non technical employees in the use of new computer hardware and software;
• Monitor the network to ensure its availability to system users (standard 99%);
• Monitor and adjust operation of existing networks and regularly review the current computer system to determine future network needs. He/She is expected to make recommendations for upgrading of existing systems, enhancements in the implementation of future servers, networks and programs;
• Be available for US travel (up to four 3 day trips per year, valid passport; and
• Other duties as assigned by VP;
Skill Requirements:
Essential:
1. Networking in Windows and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu):
2. XEN virtual server tools;
3. Able to install and upgrade multi-core, multi-processor servers (current supplier, Supermicro);
4. Excellence in MS Office working environment
5. Comfortable with the command line in Windows and Linux; and
6. At least a basic familiarity with Python scripting.
Related Technologies:
1. Asterisk VoIP Systems;
2. Samba File Services;
3. Python or PHP based Web Server Systems; and
4. PostFix
The successful candidate will likely have the essential skills plus at least one of the Related Technologies.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• B.Sc. or B.Eng. in computer science or engineering, mathematics, statistics, or physics AND three years experience, either in Canada or abroad; OR three year certificate from college or technical school and five years related experience and/or training;
• Expected to having detailed knowledge of servers, computer networking, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners and software, portals, etc.;
